Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky
Thanks everyone who's already entered our challenge! If you haven't yet, go here: for details on entering the Awesome by August weight loss challenge. Due to schedules some people emailed me yesterday, and some can't do it until Sunday, so we're allowing that to include as many as possible.
I thought I'd just give a quick list of the prizes we've drummed up so far. I'm still talking to a few companies and haven't decided what I'm throwing in. Hopefully I'll have a full list and how they'll be awarded (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc) by the time Steve posts the official first weigh in on Monday.
In no particular order, the fun swag we have so far:

I know we have a few international entrants who are joining for the fun/encouragement. I SO wish we had prizes for you. I was wondering, I could give the highest international percentage free ad space on my blog for a month? Would this be fun for you guys? It's only helpful if you have a blog of course, and I'm aware an ad on my blog isn't a huge deal, LOL, but I'm just trying to think of something for our international friends! Let me know what you think about that.
So far I've received 23 emails! Can't wait to see how many our challenge group will be!
So very cool, I'm uber excited!
ReplyDeleteI think this is very cool! I wish I could think of something to mail the winner! I'll think on it. If the winner doesn't mind giving out their address, we could at least send them a card or something goofy. Everyone loves to get mail!!

Just a quick idea on the prizes: how about having a "prize bag" and letting the first place winner choose what he/she wants, the second place winner choose what he/she wants, etc. That way you don't have to decide what's more valuable. As far as I'm concerned, prizes are like sprinkles on a cupcake and I'm sure people will be happy with whatever method you select!
ReplyDeleteEd, I like that idea!
