Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky
I really enjoyed my unplugged day yesterday, but I gotta admit: it was hard. I missed you all! But balancing my online adventures and my family life is important, so it was good. I did break it a little, gasp, I know. I went online and ordered PJ's for my littlest two boys from The Children's Place...there was a good sale, what can I say?
Well, today it's October 1st. Wow, didn't see that one coming! Where oh where did September go? Oh well, our pumpkin patch is busting at the seams, on with October. (Yes, that's a pic from our pumpkin patch! We are going to have some awesome jack-o-lanterns!)
I'm always excited for a new month. It's fresh and bright and shiny and new and all filled with possibilities, yes? This month I'm really excited about the fun things I have coming up on my blog and you tube, etc.
I've got some great guest posts coming up, I received my flip (yay!) so I'll be vlogging regularly on my you tube channel, and of course some fun product reviews too. I ordered Insanity and I'll be blogging about my experiences with that. Plus, hmm, maybe a giveaway or two?
Happy October 1st everyone, lets make it a great month, shall we? What are you looking forward to this month?
Awww ... no pumpkin patch picture for me :(
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of pumpkin patches, we're taking Johnny to one in the morning with his grandparents (at least his grandfather -- it was his idea, after all). The place is amazing. Pumpkin patches, apple orchards, corn mazes, bouncey houses for the kids. I'm so excited! Definitely looking forward to that!
Also looking forward to: the arrival of egg nog in the stores, mastering more of my new Turbo Jam dvds, and hopefully finishing off #spooktacular with a bang!
I get all excited when a new month arrives too! I am looking forward and hoping for cooler weather! =D
ReplyDeleteI love fall :) I'm glad October is here!
ReplyDeleteBtw, since our "bra talk" on twitter earlier, i lost a few more followers... haha.
Karen, sounds like so much fun! Great goals.
ReplyDeleteJulie, I'm excited for cooler weather too, hate running in the heat.
Brittany, lol, people are weird.
Super excited to hear what you think of Insanity!
