Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky
OK, so how did everyone do on their 100 push-ups 200 sit-ups challenges this week?
I did OK. I did the initial tests on Monday. I was supposed to do the Day 1 Week 1 workout on Wednesday, but didn't get it done because of amerrylife.com 's workout pledge I took part in. To support Mary I pledged to match her workout minutes and wound up doing 90 minutes of running intervals, yeesh. But I heart Mary and it was so much fun with all the bloggers participating and tweeting. I was however too tired after that and so cut out the challenge workouts.
Friday I did Day 1 of Week 1 workouts. Today or tomorrow I will do Day 2 of Week 1 and so I am a bit behind right now. Will try to get back on track soon.
How about you??
I'm a slacker. I haven't done the assessments yet. :-/
ReplyDeleteMaybe tonight?

After the first night of situps, my back has really been hurting this week. I'm not sure if I did something wrong with the situps, or if it was something else, but I've been staying away from the situps for the time being, until my back is feeling normal again.
ReplyDeleteWow, that challenge sounds tough! About to go check it out now. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteIm not sure if I am actually part of this challenge, but I am trying to do the sit ups, push ups and the squats... (Kat has strong legs so the squats are no challenge for her!) Anyway I want to encourage you all to get started. Each time it should make you a bit soar one or two days (just in time to do it again), but know that soarness is building strength! Brandon, Good choice listening to you body... your back shouldn't hurt... just your abs! Good luck everyone!!
ReplyDeleteI heart you Kat. But I haven't done any strength this week. I suck that way. I'm really trying to care. Maybe when I'm not so tired. And if I try even harder to remember I heart you.
ReplyDeleteGo Ron go!
ReplyDeleteBrandon, they are crunches and not full sit ups, if you look at the 'what is a sit up' section on the site they show good form.
Vonda, you are of course part of this challenge!
runwritetherapylife, we would be glad to have you join us!
JBS, jump in anytime ;), I heart you too!!!
