Was it just me or was October simply a blink? Eesh. OK, so how'd I do with my October goals? As always I stuck to process goals not outcome goals (I'll do a post soon on why I think that's so important!), and for October I stuck to fitness goals only. As that's where I felt I needed the most improvement. My goals were...
I'd say I overall did "meh" with my October goals.
- For my 4+ mile a day walk goal I missed probably 7 days out of the month. Not bad, but not on goal either. Runs were once a week, again, meh. Though I did do a 3 mile run, which was a total win since I haven't surpassed a mile in AGES.
- Echo Bike only happened twice the entire month.
- And yoga... didn't happen at all.
For November I'm again setting fitness goals and looking for more improvement. My November goals...
This schedule is sort of hard for me to wrap my head around. No runs, no echo bike, no intense cardio at all?!
I'm super excited to get into barbell training this month. I haven't trained with barbells since high school ya'll. I've done kettlebells, dumbbells, machines, but no barbells. So, I've been reading...
As I know my recovery is not what it used to be, I'm not being overly zealous with my fitness goals this month. I'm taking the advice in this book and focusing exclusively on lifting this month. He stresses the importance of taking advantage of our "novice" training stage and maximizing recovery by not overdoing it adding in other workouts. OK, going to trust that...
- I'm aiming to barbell train three times a week; to start I'll be sticking with squat, bench, press, and deadlift.
- Long walks a few times a week.
My new BFF for strength workouts:
And one more, not fitness, goal for November: a keto/paleo Thanksgiving. I generally keep it keto/paleo/low carb/gluten-free for the holidays. Have for years now. I just feel better and prefer not to do the big bender thing. Plus, there's so many yummy swap options I really don't miss the common fare (and kind of don't even like it anymore, it's been so long). BUT, sharing that goal here because it is something I want to do again. This year I don't even want to do too many keto treats. The last few years I've gone a bit overboard with those and am not really happy with that behavior. I would make mini keto cheesecakes and eat like thirty. Not where I'm wanting to go here! Going to stay focused on keeping my momentum.
Onward!

Are diet pills for the best? You’ve probably read about all of the different diet pills out there, so you’re wondering if any are the best...more..
