Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky...
In my planning for success video I mentioned my prep work. This video shows the food prep work I did last Sunday. Thought I'd break it into it's own video since part one was so long.
I know that it looks like a lot, but honestly it takes an hour, maybe a little more and it makes my entire week go better. My kids and I have good healthy snack options and my breakfast and lunch can be grab and go on days when I need it.
Do you do any food prep to help streamline your week?
I forgot to show the paleo mayo I made while the egg quiches were baking. You can find most of these recipes under my Recipes tab.

I did more food prep when I ate HCG-esque style since I had to weigh my meat portions. Now, I just make sure I have good quality stuff on hand and make sure I set out some sort of protein source to thaw early enough in the day.

ReplyDeleteI use Sundays to prep as much as possible. I have 3 roommates all using the same fridge as I do, so yesterday I purchased bins to help me stay organized a little more. Hopefully that will help some? LOVE this idea, I also try to make my week of breakfasts on Sunday so I can grab and go in the early am.
ReplyDeleteThis is something new for me to try out! I will check more of your recipes xoxo
