Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky...
Today I want to share with you how to make KETO COFFEE! If you are looking for an easy, everyday ketogenic diet coffee recipe, you're going to love this one. It's what I have in my coffee every day. Not only is it keto and delicious, but it's so easy and only 3 ingredients! Plus, it has virtually perfect keto macros and I have to say is so much more convenient than recipes using Oils. No blender, no oils here. Bonus, this recipe is also DAIRY FREE!
If you've struggled with MCT oils in bulletproof coffee recipes in the past, I find using MCT powder gives all the great MCT fats to boost energy and focus, with none of the MCT oil side effects! Plus, it comes in plain as well as tons of yummy flavors. Bonus.
If you don't have a frother, you can use a blender, but I really recommend getting one for convenience sake. Using a frother will give your keto coffee an amazing, frothy, keto latte-like foam as well as mix the ingredients thoroughly. Simply stirring with a spoon will be a mess. Frothers are super cheap and handy. I can't do without mine! I've thrown it (and my mct powder) in a Ziploc and taken it on a road trip. #noshameinmygame
Life is too short for bad coffee.
For This Recipe You Will Need:
Coffee, MCT Powder (this is my fav), Collagen Powder (I use this one), stevia or monk fruit if desired, and a Frother.
Keto Coffee Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 mug Coffee of Your Choice
1 Tablespoon MCT Powder
1 Tablespoon Collagen Powder
Stevia or I prefer monk fruit to taste (completely optional)
DIRECTIONS
Add MCT Powder, Collagen, and sweetener to your coffee and blend well with your frother. YUM!
NOTES
Stevia and monk fruit are completely optional, if you like your coffee sweet, add it. I don't like my coffee sweet, so I leave it out. Also, If you like a "creamier" coffee just add more MCT Powder. Change the flavor of this by trying out different flavors of MCT Powder, like Chocolate or Salted Caramel (droooooooooool).
