Paleo Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burgers

Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments.  In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. Puma Complete Vectana I Review

I have wanted yellow running shoes since I started running. Not sure why, I just like bright colors like yellow and orange, especially for my running shoes. However, I have never been able to find yellow in shoes that fit my feet well. 

I did a post about my dream running gear a little while back as part of the runapalooza week I did leading up to my fastest 5k.

Now, I've been very faithful to my normal shoe since I started running. I found something I liked, that worked well for me, and I stuck with it. Each spring when the new version comes out, I buy it.  Needless to say I was a little apprehensive to willy nilly switch running shoes. Change is hard for me, but these were just too cute to pass up. I figured, what the heck, I'll give 'em a try. 

So, did I buy my regular running shoes this spring? NOPE. Didn't do it. Not gonna do it. I LOVE these Pumas. I am now a Puma convert. They even cost the same as my old shoes, bonus.

I have ran with them on the treadmill for speed intervals, outside on roads/trails for 3-4 mile runs, and on the track for intervals. I have even done some of my other DVD workouts in them (I don't always enjoy running shoes for this, but these were great). They are so comfy. I love the feel when I run; they are light, stable, and just the right amount of cushion for me...and the best part...they are so freakin cute. 

Yes, I care what my running shoes look like. These Puma Complete Vectanas are by far cuter than any running shoes I've ever had.

Hands down I give these shoes 5 stars (and I don't give that rating lightly). I'll be running another 5k June 20th. Trying to cut my time again. Shooting for less than 32 minutes. I will absolutely be wearing these shoes!

  3. Those are so cute! I have always wanted a yellow sports bra... dont know why. Yellow just must be a good happy color. Now you can look down at your feet and remind yourself to keep going!

  7. Ha...I thought that I was the only one that cared what their running shoes looked like. Because I wear a size ten and have REALLY flat feet, my options are ALWAYS limited. Girl...I refused to by a pair of $140 dollar running shoes because they were UGLY as SIN!!! I don't care how "perfect" they were for my feet. NO, NO, and No...is what I told the sales guy. Glad you have some that you love!!!

30 Easy Prep and Pack Whole30 Lunch Recipes

The Whole30 Program is amazing. I highly recommend it. Every time I've done a Whole 30 I have felt AMAZING by the end. It's a very empowering experience. It is not however an easy one. Mostly because the food prep can take much more time if you're used to grab and go options. A little planning ahead and you can definitely make it through the 30 days. I'm always playing around with easy snack recipes for my paleo kiddos. This Paleo Energy Bar Recipe in many incarnations is our go-to! It takes no time at all to whip a batch up and the kids love them. They're not only paleo, but also vegan, gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free, and dairy-free. Paleo Energy Bars Ingredients 1 cup Whole Natural Almonds 12 to 14 Organic Medjool Dates , de-pitted 1/2 of a Alter Eco Chocolate Dark Blackout 85% 1/4 cup Raw Pumpkin Seeds Directions Pulse the almonds in food processor until you get small bits, but not paste. Empty into mixing bowl. Do the same with the dark chocolate. Process the dates in the food processor until smooth. They will tend to come together in a ball. Add to nut/chocolate mixture. KETO Cocktails: The Lemon Drop

I love a good glass of red wine now and then, I mean it's practically a health food, right? ;) But sometimes I just want a cocktail. With her latest offering in the fitness DVD realm-  Jillian Michaels: Killer Buns and Thighs - Jillian Michaels delivers again in typical Jillian style .
