Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky
Here is my daily vlog from yesterday (Monday). Answered some questions on motivation and tracked my daily food/exercise. I may or may not get one done for today (1-3). My 6 year old has a cough. We rarely get sick around here and I hate it when my kids are sick! Anyone have good recipes for natural cough remedies??
Totally agree with you on the motivation being a "feeling". One way I started to work on this was to log what I did each day of the year. Either it's a workout, a rest day, a skip day or a sick day. I have been doing this since 2006. 2011 was a good year! :)
ReplyDeleteTotals as of Saturday 12/31/11 the 365th day of the year
Workout Days 303 (7 Asylum/Insanity Relief only days)
Rest Days 46
Skip Days 2
Sick Days 7
TimeOff/With My Mom - Days 7 (I had to mark the time with my mom in a separate category since I was in the hospital with her for a week. She had lung cancer and passed away last January. I got to spend almost everyday with her for that week. It was nice to be able to have that time with her.)
The first years numbers were ugly! But I saw the need to make daily workouts as much a part of of my day as showering or doing laundry. With 5 kids you never get to take a day off from laundry ;) If it is automatically built into my routine it makes it difficult for me to NOT do it.
Great Vlog post!! Go Kerri!
