A Month of Whole30 Dinner Recipes Your Whole Family Will Love!

If you're doing a Whole30 chances are your whole family isn't doing it with you. In the past I've found that this can be a bit overwhelming when it comes to food prep. Making every meal completely separate is just a lot to do. One solution I have found is to make family-friendly Whole30 dinner recipes. That way, at least for one meal, I was just making one meal that everyone would eat.

I suppose it's that time of year again. The time of year we welcome in the shiny New Year filled with hopes and dreams for a fresh start. We sit down and make lists. Resolutions. Things we're going to do different in the coming year. 

We make our New Year's Resolutions.
Unfortunately, let's be real friends, we don't tend to follow through with these New Years Resolutions.
I'm all for goals, but we all know that the majority of people promptly break their New Year resolutions within 2 weeks or so. 

But not us dear reader friends. Not this year! 
No, we'll go ahead and make a goals list. I think those are fabulous for focus. For direction. For setting our intentions. I make them all year round. But then, we won't stop there. Let's choose not to be in that percentage that gives up. Let's take those goals and turn them into actions. Actions repeated. Then repeated again. On and on and on. For 66 days.

The end of 2016 has been a crazy blur for me. It's been work, work, freak out a little, work harder, repeat. I thought I'd just take a moment to grab a cup of coffee and chat. I always see bloggers do coffee date posts and think, "What a fun idea! I should do that." Then never do. So, if we were having coffee together...

I would probably promptly blurt out that I'm a little scared (I'm good like that). Finances have begun to look bleak since hubby's job loss. Don't get me wrong, I have total faith. I KNOW we will be fine. I KNOW good things are coming. I KNOW a door is just itching to open for me. But every once in a while I feel a little fear. I look at the bank account and feel that grip. That constricting in the pit of my stomach. A tiny little doubt tries to whisper in my ear. I'm human.

I'm completely obsessed with keto pancakes lately. Oh, you've caught on to that? I love the one word concept. Boiling all of our goals, our intentions, our hopes, our visions for the next year down to one single word. A mantra condensed. Concentrated. Focused. Until we arrive at one word.

As 2016 comes to a close, I've been looking back over the year. Looking at what worked and what didn't. Looking at successes and failures. Looking at the lessons learned.

I've also been looking forward to 2017. Pondering goals. Considering options. Setting intentions.

If we're Facebook friends you heard the news that my husband lost his job recently. This changes the landscape of our lives quite a bit. It shifts my part-time blogging back to more of a full-time endeavor again. It focuses me on my fiction writing more. It brings with it endless options and opportunities. For myself, my husband, and our family. It may seem like a negative event, but it's actually very exciting.

KETO Cocktails: The Lemon Drop

I love a good glass of red wine now and then, I mean it's practically a health food, right? ;) But sometimes I just want a cocktail. I'm all for moderation and having a drink now and then, but I'm just not down with the calorie, carb, and sugar counts of some of my favorites. Seriously, have you ever looked them up? Eek. Cinnamon Vanilla KETO Coffee Creamer Recipe

There are tons of keto coffee creamer products flooding the market right now. Some are fantastic options. Some chock full of nasty ingredients. But most of them are on the pricey side.

I decided to work on some clean, more budget-friendly, keto coffee creamer recipes we can easily make at home! (Check out my Keto Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer too.)⠀

This dairy-free Cinnamon Vanilla Keto Coffee Creamer is definitely one of my favorites. I just love cinnamon coffees. They're delicious. Plus, cinnamon is supposed to be good for blood sugar control. Win-win.


Keto Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee Creamer ⠀⠀☕☕☕ ⠀

INGREDIENTS⠀⠀1 can (13.66 oz) Canned Coconut Cream
2 teaspoons Organic Saigon Cinnamon⠀
2 teaspoons Organic Pure Vanilla⠀⠀
Low Carb Sweetener to taste, generally 5 to 10 packets OR 5 to 15 drops monk fruit (optional)⠀ ⠀

Paleo Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burgers

Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. 

In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant.



Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though.

30 Easy Prep and Pack Whole30 Lunch Recipes

The Whole30Program is amazing. I highly recommend it. Every time I've done a Whole 30 I have felt AMAZING by the end. It's a very empowering experience. It is not however an easy one. Mostly because the food prep can take much more time if you're used to grab and go options. A little planning ahead and you can definitely make it through the 30 days.

When it comes to Whole30 lunches, 3 things worked best for me:


Quick and easy salads.Prepping food on Sunday.Cooking too much at dinner and eating leftovers for lunch the next day.

Keto Paleo Friendly Coffee Creamer Recipe

Going keto paleo has me missing one thing: the organic grass-fed half-and-half I'd been having in my coffee. Since going paleo over a year ago I've searched and searched and just never found anything else I love in my coffee. I'd just about given up on a keto paleo-friendly coffee creamer!

I was almost to resign myself to black coffee forever, but then I decided to resort again to trying to make my own. This version is simple and quite delicious. Not only is it keto paleo, but Whole30 and 21 Day Sugar Detox friendly as well.




Keto Paleo Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee Creamer
Ingredients
1 can Organic Canned Coconut Milk(the kind in the carton just won't do it)
1 teaspoon Cinnamon Vietnamese Organic
1 teaspoon Organic Pure Vanilla for 100% Whole30 compliant swap for vanilla powder
2 teaspoons raw local honey or Organic Maple Syrup (optional, leave out for KETO, Whole30, or 21DSD)

Vanilla Maple Iced Coffee

It's no secret that I'm madly in love with coffee. Hot coffee, iced coffee, plain coffee, flavored coffee, espresso, latte, cappuccino... you name it I want to marinate in it.

People often ask me if coffee is Paleo. My answer: maybe not strict Paleo, but I. Don't. Care. Cavemen did NOT drink coffee some declare. To this I reply: I am convinced that cavepeople of my ancestral line were roasting beans, crushing them, and pouring hot water over them thousands of years ahead of their time. 

OK, but seriously, I am Paleo because of the benefits I have seen eating this way. My food choices are more about how a food affects me than whether or not a caveman consumed it. Also, generally speaking, I think most people drink coffee on Paleo.

Whether or not coffee itself is Paleo, the things we add to it can be absolutely NOT Paleo. I am definitely known to splurge on a (non-Paleo) Starbucks now and then, but most of the time I prefer to keep my coffee concoctions Paleo.
