Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky

I started running last April. 3 weeks ago, I ran my first 5K. Last Sat, I ran another one and took 2.5 min off my time. Yes, I do have enough 'room' to cut down that much time. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat got me to this point is a little gizmo. I am using miCoach. It has a program (among a bunch!) under the running section to 'learn how to run.' Out of 7 phases I am ready to start phase 5.
It is with a lot of pride I can say I am now a runner!
Aw, thanks Janine, great tip too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Kimberly, that's really awesome.
This is great info. I need to do Couch to 5k....Ok, I need to do Coma to 5K. I know I will like exercise eventually. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips, thanks!
ReplyDeleteGood tips! I began running last winter and on a whim I signed up for and ran a 12k in the Spring. I never thought I could do it, but I did!! And that sparked my love of running. I've been back and forth though, and my ability to be consistent is the biggest issue right now. I completed Couch to 5K and was running 3-4x a week. Now I'm running once a week because I'm a wimp about the weather. I need to just get back out and DO IT. Thanks for the push. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! I'm not a new runner, but I don't run frequently because of knee issues.
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Thanks for sharing this Kerri!
ReplyDeleteAmazing tips! I need to start Couch 2 5K. I just bought some new running shoes (Rebook RealFlex) and now just need to get motivated.
ReplyDeleteif only the love finding were easier...
ReplyDeleteI have also fell in love with running or should I say jogging. I am already an avid walker but recently a friend invited me to train with her for a 1/2 Marathon. Running has always intimidated me but I found a chart online and started training very gradually. This is the best way to start any workout plan, slowly. Less chance of burning out.
ReplyDeleteWOW this came at a perfect time for me. Thank you for posting it. PERFECT!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna be a runner, or at least a 5k'er. you rock. that is all.
ReplyDeleteHow about once you've done all those things and still can't find the love of running? Would love to see a post on how long you "push it" to see if you end up loving it! I myself have kinda given up but luckily have so many other areas of fitness that I enjoy that I still work out 6 days a week.
