Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky
I am starting a new series on searching for budget running clothes. I truly believe that one should never skimp on running shoes and sports bras they are just too important, but can you get your running clothes on the cheap?
I'll be shopping around at places like Walmart, Target, JCPenney, and maybe even clearance racks at regular running stores, sporting goods stores, online, etc and seeing where I can find the best deals. Then I'll be putting them through the paces as I half marathon train and writing reviews on how they do. Hope you enjoy this new series!

Don't forget the discount stores. I get good deals on name brand workout clothes from Ross, TJMaxx, etc.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vena - my trainer recommended Gordman's and I just got an $8 yoga top there! I also found some great bottoms recently at JC Penney's. Have lots from Target and my sports bras came from Walmart. I am with you on this one. (Except for the running part!)
ReplyDeleteI have running clothes from Target (C9 brand), mainly tops, and they work just as well. But to be honest, most of the tops and shorts I wear either came from the outlet, from a sale at the running store I shop at, or from races I've done.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you have decided not to skimp on shoes and bras. That, my friend, would be a TRAGEDY. Let me know what you find out :)
ReplyDeleteI've gotten my running shirts from Kohl's at crazy low prices ($4-$8)! I found my running shorts at Ross for a little more than the shirts, but still not expensive ($12).
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a fun series! I love Target for technical gear and I have a couple C9 shirts.
ReplyDeleteI've discovered not only should you not skimp on shoes, you should replace them when they're worn out!
How's the Positivity Project coming along?
Target has great running clothes! I get spandex and tops there.
ReplyDeletelol i dont even wear a sports bra (or any bra) when working out. its much comfier. but i agree on getting good sneakers.
