Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun! paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky
Like I said in the video, love the cereal. It's basically little flakes with flaxseeds. I found it very filling and I really appreciate that it's so low in sugar and higher in fiber and protein...heck, if I can at all get my kids to eat it (it's all healthy looking you know) I'm all over that.

I LOOOVE the cereal and have been eating it for years.
ReplyDeletemy best story? bought a box. unpacked rest of groceries while it sat on table.
turned around to eat some as a snack.
IT WAS GONE.
YadaYadaYada my black lab at the whole thing.
and happily lived to tell the tale with no ill effects (!)
I don't eat cereal for breakfast anymore but this is what I put in my yogurt when I want that for a snack. Yummy that way. I first found out about it when I went on the South Beach Diet, because of the low sugar and whole grains. My only issue with it - why are the flax seeds whole? I had always read you only get the benefit from them if they are ground.
ReplyDeleteit scares me... but now I wanna try it...
ReplyDeleteMiz, that's hilarious.
ReplyDeleteKaren, when they're mixed with the flakes I think they wind up getting chewed, therefore ground, better than when you try to eat them plain, not sure.
Danielle, you know you want to, lol.
I like that it has flaxseed already in it. I always put a teaspoon full of 'em in my cereal or oatmeal everyday =)
ReplyDeleteI love this cereal! I eat it w/almond milk with a little bit of protein powder mixed in. LOVE IT!
