Paleo Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burgers

Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments.  In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. It's not only Paleo, but Whole30, glutenfree, lower carb, and clean eating friendly. I promise you won't miss the bun!  paleo, grilled pineapple burger, smoky

Supreme 90 Day Final Results and Review

I've completed 30 days on the Supreme 90 Day System . Last Thursday was when I took my results, but I'm just getting to posting my review today...So, do I think this system is hype or help ? First, the numbers.  My Starting Stats: Weight: 184 BF%: 34.1% Waist: 35.5 Right thigh: 22 Right calf: 15 Hips: 43.5 Right arm: 12 My 30 Day Stats: Weight: 176 BF%: 31.5% Waist: 34 Right thigh: 21.5 Right calf: 14.75 Hips: 42.5 Right arm: 12 Quick Notes I did tweak this plan a little . For this workout you will need hand weights and a stability ball. Best Workout Value I won't beat around the bush. I love this set of workouts. They are the best workout value I have seen in a while! $19.99?! Wow. I give Supreme 90 Day 4.5 stars and absolutely think it is help, no hype here. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the packaging is a little cheap and the trainer mis-calls moves some. Nothing that should keep anyone from buying them though, they

Fitbloggin Humor Session Full Video!

This was totally worth holding my arm in the air for the whole session!! (don't worry, the feeling has now returned). I am so happy to share with all of you this awesome session from fitbloggin featuring Sue , Jack , and Charlie .  A little shaky at some points, shifting positions when my arm got tired, etc and hopefully minimal crunching from my popchips snacking during the session. But well worth the watch. Good. Stuff. My camera randomly went off, so there's about 5 minutes in the 2nd video. I missed a couple seconds where Charlie basically said that it has taken her long enough to accept herself for who she is and she is not going to compromise that for a brand. Trying to grow my you tube channel, I would love it if you guys could 'like' this on you tube, comment on you tube, etc. THANK YOU! Grab a bowl of Coach's Oats , settle in, and enjoy! ;)

Fitfluential Ambassador Appication

If you haven't heard of Fitfluential , you should definitely check it out.  For my application I would like to talk a little about my passion for fitness. In particular my passion for running. I was never a runner. Never. Running the mile for the fitness test in high school was pure torture to me.  I didn't start running until I was 30. It began as a simple mathematical equation: me+running=burning the most calories in the shortest amount of time. It was all about the weight loss. Then I decided to try a 5k. That changed everything. And when I say everything, I mean my entire life. My only goal for the 5k was to run the entire thing. Which I did. I didn't know if I could, I didn't believe in myself at all at that point in my life. Then, I crossed the finish line. I'd done it! I'd set a goal, I'd trained, I'd accomplished it. Somehow I changed that day. It seems impossible to even explain everything that was set in motion at that finish li

I was terrible at taking pictures this weekend. So many people I wish I'd gotten pictures with. If you have pics with/of me that I don't have here. PLEASE email them to me! fitviews@gmail.com Anyway, my journey in pics: First things to go in the suitcase: running shoes and socks. Priorities, right? Pic from the plane. I liked this cute little cloud. Awesome room at Marriott Baltimore Waterfront. There was a Keurig in the room, this coffee freak was in heaven. I do believe I need one of those at home! Look at that amazing harbor view! Even more amazing at night. Met Shauna ! I was twitterpated. Lots of great fitness stuff the first day. This is the amazing MizFitOnline and   Foodie McBody  at the Ugi   demo. Too much awesome for one photo! Walking around the harbor. Dinner the first night was seafood. I was mildly traumatized by Alan 's dinner looking at me with it's beady eyes ;) More dinner pals. Sean , Sue , and Stev

Adventures in Fitbloggin Day 1

What. A. Day. Seriously. I really thought I was going to miss my flight this morning.  I got up at 2:30 am, but still left in just enough time to make it. Mistake number one! We went a few miles down the road and there was fog so thick you could barely see to drive. Then, I almost hit a deer. I’m sorry little deer, but the middle of the road, in the dark, in the fog, is just not the place for you.  To top that, hubby tells me (as I'm trying to figure out why I can't see) the car has a headlight out. So brights were too bright to see in the fog, but dims were so dim I could barely see at all. I drove the whole way paranoid I was going to get pulled over for the headlight and definitely miss my flight. Nuts.  I drove much too fast for such conditions, but still way too slow to get to the airport an hour and a half early as planned. Generally I shoot for 2 hours early, but the website said otherwise. Hindsight. Next, we have to stop for gas! Can we say bad planning? Yes. Th

Come With Me To Fitbloggin

No, I'm not giving away a ticket to fitbloggin, dang, I know. But I want to take those of you that are unable to go! I vividly remember being one of the ones that didn't get to go last year. Finances wouldn't permit it and my blog was just a baby blog (you know, way back then, a year ago) so sponsorship wasn't really an option. So, at home I sat. I hung on every tweet, every post, every video from attendees. It was like I could still experience a little piece of it. This year I plan to do that for all of you that may be sitting home wanting to experience a little of fitbloggin. I'm taking my flip and I'm sure people will be tired of it by the end of the conference (that's my goal anyway). I'm taking my laptop and of course my Blackberry. All of this so that, virtually anyway, I can take you! I'll also have some giveaways for those of you that can't attend and are missing out on the fitbloggin swag. So, follow me on twitter , subs

Although I will have a 5k to run and plenty of other chances to be active during those day. Also, Instead of doing a week 4 results post, I'm going to wa

OOTD Good Ole Comfort Oats

Yesterday I had a very hectic day. All good things, just hectic. Lots to do. This morning I woke up to a cold drizzly day and that time of the month...so, some good old comfort oats were in order: 1/4 cup Coach's Oats cooked with 3/4 cups water. Then added 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/4 tsp Saigon Vietnamese Cinnamon (LOVE this cinnamon, I get it from My Spice Sage), 1/2 sliced banana and 1/4 oz chopped walnuts. Today's OOTD stats: 287 calories 37 grams carbs 7 grams fat 16 grams protein Bowl lickin' good. Are you are joining me tomorrow for #oatchat ??

OOTD Running Out The Door

Today's oatmeal of the day is blueberry overnight oats: Straight from the refrigerator, ready to go! I knew I'd be running out the door this morning to get my hair done (wooo!) so I planned ahead and made some protein packed overnight oats: 1/4 cup Coach's Oats , 1 cup 0% plain greek yogurt, 1/4 cup frozen blueberries, 1 packet Truvia. Stir together, cover, and pop it in the refrigerator overnight. Eat cold. So good! After it was stirred. Today's OOTD stats: 278 calories 37 grams carbs 0 grams fat (oops, probably will add some almonds or walnuts next time) 25 grams protein I'm off! How did you fuel your day?

OOTD and an OW

I've seen OOTD on You Tube and usually it means outfit of the day. Well, you're not getting that here. Cropped sweats and a t-shirt? Ooo la la. Ha ha ha. My OOTD stands for what else, but... oatmeal of the day ! This week I'll be gearing up for the Twitter chat on Fueling Your Day, so I thought I'd share how I fuel my day. Most days, I start out with my basic bowl: 1/4 cups Coach's Oats cooked with 3/4 cup water. I Microwave them for 2 minutes (watching because these puppies expand and can boil over. If they start to boil up in the bowl I just open the microwave for a couple seconds). Then 1 scoop vanilla protein powder stirred in (today I used BSN's Lean Dessert Protein). That's my basic bowl. To add variety I add blueberries, strawberries, bananas, cinnamon, nuts...you get the idea. Whatever I have on hand. Today it was: My basic bowl with 1/2 cup sliced strawberries. Yum squared.  Today's OOTD stats were: 295 calories 34 grams carb

Mother's Day Featuring Bonnie From Coach's Oats

Bonnie aka Mrs. Coach. Happy Mother's Day everyone! Today I'd like to feature a fit mom that inspires me.  We all know how hard it can be to balance our busy lives with our health and fitness. I think that Bonnie aka Mrs. Coach's Oats does an amazing job at this. Bonnie has always made fitness an important part of her life. As a teenager she competed in gymnastics and swimming as well as worked out on a regular basis. In college she competed in swimming and was also in the dance program at University of Illinois. She even ran a marathon less than 6 months after finishing collegiate swimming. Amazing. She then continued this active lifestyle throughout her adult life, even after kids. We all know how tough that can be. Bonnie competed in triathlons until she got pregnant with her oldest son Nolan.  After having her second son Calvin she began teaching pilates and spin classes. The part of her fitness story that amazes me most is that Bonnie began competin
