Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. My results are accordingly lack-luster this week, my bad. But hey, I'm a real person, I don't get paid to do this, and life happens. I didn't have a great week. I'd rather be honest about my process than feed you a line of bull.
There was a lot of good this week too. I was much less sore (thankfully, last week was tough) and the workouts didn't seem as hard. Plenty tough mind you, but not my-gosh-this-women-is-trying-to-kill-me-I-can't-breathe tough. Which means I am getting stronger/more fit! Cardio 2 was much easier for me this week...you know, now that it's time to move on to Cardio 3. I brought out my 15s for a few of the moves in the strength workouts and really felt like overall I rocked the workouts for week 8. Oh yes, and no matter what Jillian says about making you want to puke or whatever rock star jumps and star jumps are FUN I say!

I'm a little nervous for the new set of workouts to come. This last round was challenging! I'm not looking forward to the sore that is coming my way. But my Phase 2 results were not near as good as my Phase 1 were, and most of that was me. I'm re-committing myself for Phase 3 and going to knock this one out of the park. Bring on the tougher workouts week 9, 150's here I come! ;)
