Since going Paleo my family has fallen even more in love with our grill. Paleo and grilling just work well together. The past couple of years I've even been stepping outside my grilling comfort zone more and more. Grilling things I'd never thought to have grilled before and trying new flavor combinations. I have to say I'm pretty thrilled with the results of most of my flavor experiments. In the past I'd never have thought to grill fruit, but it's amazing. Grilling fruit and adding it to traditionally savory dishes? Brilliant. Oh yes, and? New rule: every burger recipe for the rest of forever must contain grilled pineapple. OK, maybe more of a guideline. It's a seriously delicious combination though. This Smoky Grilled Pineapple Burger is always a crowd-pleaser at my house. Today is Day 1 of my Paleo Hype or Help experiment, and I have to say I'm pretty excited to go Paleo for a month. I feel very prepared and ready to make it a fun month (or longer, who knows?). I LOVE trying something new. First, my beginning stats:

I've back-slid a tiny bit the last week. It's been hot, I've been busy, blah blah I've been making excuses to myself. Enough. I am excited to have a little re-set here. My meals are planned, my cupboards are filled with healthy Paleo foods, I'm ready!

I'll be following your progress, too. I'm celiac, so have been gluten-free for about a year and a half, and have been interested in going grain-free and eventually paleo. I don't know that I could ever give up cheese, though!
